About homeland security/AFJROTC

A public service is one that is provided by government to its citizens, either directly or through the financing of another entity to provide the service.  Public service professions offer many career opportunities, including the following career pathways: Public Safety, Emergency Response, and Legal Practices.

How big is the industry?

Employment in state and local educational services is expected to account for slightly more than two-thirds of the increase in employment in the state and local government sector over the 2012–2022 period.

What about CA?

Employment in local government educational services is projected to increase by 454,400, to reach more than 8.2 million in 2022, representing one of the largest increases in employment among all industries.

Is the industry growing?

Because of heightened interest in homeland and border security, employment growth in this sector is projected at over 20% in the near future. Employment in the state and local government sector is projected to increase by 929,000, to reach just over 20.0 million in 2022. COURSEWORK

Each Air Force Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps  (AFJROTC) class consists of three components—aerospace science, leadership education, and a wellness program. Citizenship and character education, the heart of the curriculum program, is primarily embedded in the leadership education (LE) series of courses, while sense of service and education in science and technology related aerospace science (AS) is primarily found in the aerospace science series of courses. In a typical AS 100/LE 100 course, the ratio would be 40% AS, 40% LE and 20% wellness & fitness.
